you can't have your shield up if you intend to backstab. make sure to not have it raised. position yourself behind his legs (not his chest). I tend to find it easier to backstab if i approach from their right.
Unbound-King 7 years ago #3. Claymore's a Quality Weapon that's best used at 27 Strength/40 Dex. Sunlight Blade is usuable at 30 Faith. Normally you'd have to sac Vitality and/or Endurance to be able to use that set-up. But if you're fine with being a bit higher, then it'll probably work out.
