Guild wars 2 is content starved. It has a lot to do, the issue is it take so little time to complete it gets burned through in a week. This was the issue with PoF. And to have some incentive to go out and do something outside of the monotony would be good.
Especially with Destiny 2's Stasis unlock, having to go through the quest 3 times, and unlock each ability 3 times was so asinine and I hated it. I would much rather have it at the click of a button, being able to play what I want when I want than have to go through the same boring bullshit everytime.

If you want to unlock an elite, I suggest going to PoF via the Spearmarshal's Lament if you have it and go through the hero points you find. Then, if you still need a few more, go to HoT and do the place of power hero points. Then, if you still need more, do the rest of the HoT ones.
Absolute swiss-army spec. Good solo potential and strong in groups because it has support capabilities (Leader of the Pack trait, room to fit in a spirit) while doing good DPS. This is true for both the condi and power variations. However, in harder group events a good, decked out support can be a game changer.
